For the shoe specialist which has worn heels for most of her life, the idea of switching to flat sandals can look about as comfortable as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in this year’s 6″ stilettos. Although there are several genuinely beautiful flats about this season – among them the grungy gladiator shoe – the truth is that for a lot of girls wearing flat shoes for even just few short minutes is as much as necessary to drive quick pains shooting up their legs. Even as it is persuasive to see this as motive enough to steer clear of bad sandals and flip flops, in reality this intense soreness is your top cause to get those legs in a pair of flats quick smart.

The problem with heels is that they warp your entire body into an atypical form by thrusting your pelvis ahead and crippling your back. While you stride in this odd stance your boobs and bottom are enforced to stick out at all sorts of angles that can feel all very sexy until you start to feel the long-term consequences of these orthopaedic nightmares, which can contain constant back pain and intervertebral disc injury. Recognize the difference? When given sufficient space our toes easily sit in an arc arrangement so that our feet are much wider at the toes than at the heel. Despite this, many fashion shoes get narrower at the front and crunch them together, which can lead to bent big toes and painful (not to mention ugly) bunions. The heaviness on those poor tiny toes is made all the worse when they are jammed into high heels which relocate the mass of the entire body from the sturdy heel bone to the delicate bones at the front of the feet. Now you are aware there is a good reason to wear flat sandals any time you can.
